ROBERT CURGENVEN will be performing a brand new set combining field recordings from over 30 locations across remote Australia, pipe organ recordings, guitar and turntable feedback and oscillators.
Curgenven is an Australian composer and sound artist currently based in the UK whose performances and sound installations have been presented internationally. He runs his own label Recorded Fields and his work is released on labels such as Line, Compost & Height, Winds Measure and Kaon.
ANVIL & STIRRUP (Iain Armstrong & Antti Sakari Saario) will perform a new live laptop improvisation working with field recordings, found sounds, live electronics and gestural interface.
Armstrong and Saario met whilst they were members of BEAST and are both established composers of acousmatic music and other fixed media output. Their work has been presented in concerts, broadcasts and festivals worldwide including International Computer Music Conference, Espace du Son, Inventionnen and Audiograft.
JOÃO CASTRO PINTO will perform a live laptop improvisation using field recordings collected on his recent tours to England, Austria and South Korea.
Pinto is a Portuguese composer and researcher who has performed extensively across Europe, USA and Asia. He regularly collaborates with many artists from the experimental improv scene and has releases on labels such as Sirr-ecords, Creative Sources Recordings, Grain Of Sound and Triple Bath.
