Chris Tarren studied as an undergraduate at Birmingham, and is now continuing his studies in composition at the University of Birmingham with Jonty Harrison. Primarily an electroacoustic composer, many of his works experiment with the synthesis of abstract and more recognisable material, seeking to shape the listener’s musical experience through varying levels of focus and perception. Chris frequently performs with BEAST (Birmingham ElectroAcoustic Sound Theatre) and his works have been played in the UK and abroad.
