We have just returned from Invisible Places 2017, an international symposium on sound, urbanism and sense of place, held in Ponta Delgad, São Miguel Island, Azores. SOUNDkitchen led a SOUNDwalk for delegates through the narrow cobbled streets of the town ending at the marina on the sea front. SOUNDkitchen directors Iain and Annie devised and led the walks and also spent some time making field recordings around the island. They will be using these recordings in a new multichannel live performance they are creating for Sound + Environment in Hull in June.
